Thanks again to our 2017 headliners!

MCCF2017 - Sean Patton

Based in Los Angeles and New York, by way of New Orleans, Sean began doing stand-up in the Crescent City and has since performed in comedy clubs across the US and Canada. He’s also performed at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs Chicago, Just for Laughs Toronto, and Just for Laughs Montreal. More recently, he’s been on “@midnight”, was on the second seasons of “The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail”, “This Is Not Happening”, and co-hosted “Best Bars in America” on Esquire Network for two seasons. The New York Times said it best; “He’s the rare comic who goes over as well in a comedy club as in a bar basement.”

MCCF2017 - Frank Castillo.png

Frank is most recently the Winner of ROAST BATTLE 2 on Comedy Central. He is the Peoples Champ. Frank Castillo was born and raised in east-side San Jose, California.  He began his comedy career as a host and sketch writer for Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. Today, he resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and cat. Since beginning stand-up comedy over 6 years ago, he has been able to perform across the country and work with comedians such as Adam Ray, Bert Kreischer, and Dave Chappelle. He works and frequently performs at the World Famous Comedy Store, his home-away-from-home, where he shares the stage with comedic legends. Frank has been a co-producer and Roaster for Roast Battle at the World Famous Comedy Store since it began as a small, late night open mic 4 years ago. He is thrilled to be able to be a part of Comedy Central’s vision of the show he loves so much. Frank is also apart of the Podcast Verbal Violence with Coach Tea and Brian Moses. He is also very Mexican and his mom thinks he’s a piece of shit for making fun of people so much.

MCCF2017 - Jay Light.png

Jay Light is a stand-up comic and writer originally from Texas, currently living in Los Angeles. He began his comedy career in North Carolina and has since performed all over the world, including at SXSW, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, the Blue Whale Comedy Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival. He has opened for the likes of Tom Rhodes, Theo Von, Dana Carvey, and Dave Chappelle. Jay is also a regular performer and co-producer on one of LA’s hottest shows, Roast Battle at The World Famous Comedy Store, and has appeared on both seasons of Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, earning a spot in the finals of season two. The LA Weekly called him a “local eclectic noise maker.” His mom called him “not the son she thought she raised.”

MCCF2017 - Dave Landau.png

Cutting his comedic teeth as a teenager in Detroit in the Second City’s Conservatory, Dave Landau has risen to become one of the most in-demand headliners working today. He’s appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live At Gotham”, was a finalist on season 8 of “Last Comic Standing”, and can soon be seen on season 4 of Comedy Central’s story-telling show “This Is Not Happening”.
